Announcing: Pitaya Bowl, TRU Oatmeal & Iced Coffee

May brings the start of nicer weather, and NEW items at TRU Smoothie Bar!

The Pitaya Bowl:

Pitaya – also known as Dragonfruit, has a sweet taste, and kiwi like texture because of its seeds.

Pitaya are rich in magnesium, high in fibre, a good source of iron, rich in antioxidants, rich in vitamin B2, and high in vitamin C.  We blend this delicious fruit into a thick smoothie bowl, top it wth fresh fruit and a heaping scoop of natural peanut butter. If you haven’t tried this smoothie bowl yet, you need to! Its got such a refreshing taste that will be perfect for the upcoming summer, hot months!

TRU Oatmeal:

Are you running on empty, before, or after one of our amazing classes? Why not give yourself some extra time before class, and fuel up with our new oatmeal? If not before, then it makes a delicious meal to refuel after that intense class!

Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth.  They are gluten-free, whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.  Studies show that oats and oatmeal have many health benefits such as weight loss, lower blood sugar levels and a reduced risk of heart disease.

Oats are loaded with important vitamins & minerals that include Iron, Zinc, Folate, Magnesium, Vitamin B1, and many more. They can lower Cholesterol Levels and can help lower blood sugar levels.  Oats are incredibly filling, and may help you eat fewer calories if you start your day with oatmeal!

Iced Coffee:

This one is pretty basic! Need a pick me up? Our iced coffee will do the trick!  We serve this cold brew, poured over ice, all day long, and with the upcoming RBC Cup, our hours will be extended around some game schedules.
